blue dolphins and buttikoferi arent CA/SA but nice mix you have there, im surprised the buttikoferi is tolerating tankmates.

It looks much better now. i can't believe all those fish are coexisting, lol!

yes i know there not all sa/ca but the majority is so i consider it a sa/ca tank.

The Butti really stands out with the new tank look. Great looking fish.

what do some of you think? i was at the pool stoor and picked up some pool filter sand to redo my 100 gallon and thought maybe i would use it in the 180 as well. do you think the brown sand with the black backround is good or should i leave it the way it is or would it be better if i pulled the black sand out in favor of the pool sand?

beautiful! great looking fish, very healthy and obviously getting along.

I say keep the black gravel, looks great. switching out gravel is dangerous anyway - can cause some serious ammonia spikes. If you're dying to change something, try some different lighting options, like some pin-point lighting to create shadows and ripples.

well its actully black sand. not gravel. and as far as lighting goes ive got 2 36 inch light strips with 50/50 bulbs and 1 36 inch centered light strip with a blue bulb. what do you suggest for lighting other then that? i dont want to run anything thats like 200 watts. but if you can think of something similar to what i have that will give me better results im all ears.
