well its actully black sand. not gravel. and as far as lighting goes ive got 2 36 inch light strips with 50/50 bulbs and 1 36 inch centered light strip with a blue bulb. what do you suggest for lighting other then that? i dont want to run anything thats like 200 watts. but if you can think of something similar to what i have that will give me better results im all ears.Paullywolly;1622087; said:beautiful! great looking fish, very healthy and obviously getting along.
I say keep the black gravel, looks great. switching out gravel is dangerous anyway - can cause some serious ammonia spikes. If you're dying to change something, try some different lighting options, like some pin-point lighting to create shadows and ripples.
