My 190 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Felt guilty after reading your post, got up and got some more cories.

I have 12 in bags now, but I know there's at least 2 more.
So it's 14 not 13 in total.
Could still be more, but I doubt it.
Will be vigilant anyways, I'll go to school, come back, sleep an hour or two.
Then catch the rest, and I really need to catch that male bristle nose Pleco.

He's really shy, but he makes a mess.

Came home, looked in the tank.

Counted 5 more sterbais...

Tried to catch them, but failed.
Will try once in a while, the net is in the tank, just need to be patience.

I'm not sure how doable this is but lowering the water level should help a bit. Also chasing them with one net into another (or into a tub) can work. I agree on removing them so glad you're working on that.

I wouldn't just leave them in a bag for a long time as cories produce a toxic substance when stressed so they could end up killing themselves in the bag if left in it too long.

Gave the Cory's to my work, they're doing fine.

But I've tried lowering the water, using two nets and still can't catch the remaining 5 + 1 bristle nosepleco

Going to starve the tank for a day or two, then put some food in a net and see what I can catch.

Also looking to buy some moonlighting to the tank, after using a flashlight to search for fish at night, I'm really looking to get some night light.

But I don't want a blue color, more warm or white.

Can't get any decent photos to share of the African butterfly fish, but they are very nice.

After adding these fish to my tank, I've been spending more time watching and enjoying the tank.
Ropefish will be added on Friday.

Still can't catch the cories.
There's 5, and I do a count every day to make sure it's not in the mouth of the endlicheri bichir.

Still going to catch them.

Also my bichirs eat the sinking cichlid gold pellets from Hikari, also the massivore variety.

Above pictures for ABF are just beautiful, such stunning fish! I wish I could get some but I was told the bichirs would likely nip at their tails or something. Hope they work out with yours :)

Keep trying with the cories and BNs! You'll get them eventually.

I'm trying everyday, will try again tomorrow.

The poly's at this size only show interrest in sinking food, except the endlechi.
I caught him eating an otto last night which i don't mind.

They don't display aggression towards eachother, and i've never seen them nip at anything that's not a bottom dwelling fish.

I'm thinking of adding some tetras again to be a food source for the endlechi.
But... i will only add them during the night, as the hujetas hunt and eat during lighting hours.

For instance, i cannot feed my bichirs during the day with sinking tablets, they will grab it within seconds, even food thats on the bottom. They even eat algae wafers. But I love the hujetas, and all of these fish i recently added is a joy to watch.
