Monster comm. Glad to see it is working. I too recon that many fish reduces aggression. I am trying to mix my two fish and it is heartbreaking to see them go at each other

PS: yes, both are rather pricey to lose in a fight out ^^

Yep gotta represent the monsters!:headbang2

And monster setup it is!!!
Very nice healthy looking fish you got there.
Can you get a feeding video up? That would be awesome.
Are the two fx-5's on your sump mainly for benificial bacteria? Are they both located past the sumps pre-filter, do you even have to clean them? This is a idea I've never thought of. Thank's.

HAHAHA!!! damn bro.. never seen a full tank shot from you before and I can see why.. haha.. I'm not a big fan these violently over stocked tanks in general but I know you can handle it! sweet, healthy fish.. I wish you the best of luck keeping them and I'm looking forward to seeing them in the 10x4, I want to see them all! haha!

Will update you on the summer time when I'm done with the plywood tank.

I did tried a feeding video before but it was way to dark as I don't have a video cam. Hopefully when I get a digi-cam this x-mas. I post a video of them once in the 10x4x4 plywood tank.

My 55g sump somehow couldn't handle the bio-load if I place the 3 FX5 at the main tank and the water get cloudy within a week. Now that I placed the 2 FX5 at the sump my tank is now crystal clear. Before I added just 1 but it didn't work. Added two and now it's running well. Also I don't like seeing too much FX5 suctions in the main tank as when feeding time my fish kept knocking the guard and I lost some fish due to that. They get sucked in and couldn't escape.

I got them already. From RTG to XB. From gold base to blue base and purple base and there another one that I don't know what to call the base color. It's kinda florescent blue green. I'll be adding 1 RTG and 1 SRs in the summer. XB will have to wait to be added. I'll just need to look for a lie firs and a spoonhead jar.
oh i cant wait too see RTG/XB inside the tank :D  and i agree with overstockng it stops violence

Cool can't wait for the video. It has to be so fun watching them eat!
So your intakes for the fx-5's are in the sump before the prefilter, (to keep it from getting clogged so fast)??? I'm pretty sure I know how yours works now but if you could throw up a pic of the sump that would be cool.

You gave me a good idea now I'll give you one.;) I also run many fx-5's and have had my strainers seperated many times, by my larger fish. I also have lost some very nice fish, because they got sucked up. What I did was: Drill four holes in the strainer two on the top part and two on the bottom part.(one on each side). Then stick zipties through the holes so they cant come apart again. Problem solved. The only down fall is if you dont trim the zipties off just right they can leave a jagged edge that will sometimes scratch your fish if they rub or bump into it. Hope this helps you from any future losses.:)

Nice fish. Claustrophobicly overstocked though, but that's already been said ;)
Good luck on the bigger tank build.
