My 210 FOWLR Turned Reef

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use probes all the time in my chem labs, but those are different, a) they cost WAY more, and b) they arent expected to run 24/7.

Yep. You get what you pay for and I don't want to pay a lot. lol.

Temp. probe finally came today so I can get my temp. back stabilized.

Also, my Christmas present came today! Girlfriend got me a Nikon AW100 underwater camera. Can't wait to learn how to use this thing and take some shots!

Oh and this is a text I got from Forrest today about our fish food we make.....

"My fish eat better than you do."

Good to hear that you got the new probe and new camera; underwater cameras are pretty cool.

I still can't believe that you guys put lobster and crab in that food, but Forrest mentioned that he gets it for a great price, so I can't argue with that.

Haha ya, a bit crazy, but why not. I forgot to tell you guys about one key ingredient....Forrest's blood. Evidently he cut himself pretty good making it. Fish are going to love it.

He probably got cut on the crab legs; they're pretty sharp when cracked open. The fish are going to go into a feeding frenzy now.

Glad you posted - as I would be too lazy. Took a couple other pics - might post them on my thread, but not sure if it is worth it haha.

I was about $230 for this (10 pounds?) of food. Not to mention you will not find anything with an ingredient list this nice anywhere in fish food. Food was less than $70, but I did forget the squid. Next time I want to obviously add that, some oily smaller fish, and also sponge.

Lmfao I got a huge kick reading this, and Wiggles texting me about this. It was dribbling in there for a second - so dont eat it just to be on the safe side. My mom was watching and was saying stuff like "We should go to urgent care. Do you need a bandaid?" Hilarious.

Not going to lie - I was cracking those by hand. And it was definitely shredding them, but this was literally me chopping up the tuna and just being dumb. Boom. Finger. Good thing I sharpened that knife right before doing this haha.

Come back and fight like a man you pansy!

Look - youve got no legs, whatre you going to do? Bleed on me?

ILL BITE YOUR KNEECAPS OFF!

That's alot of thiaminase,(Raw- fish, shell fish, crustanceans) the enzyme that splits vitamin B complex eliminating vitamin B1-thiamine causing potentially deadly concequences to the immune system. Amazing how Saltwater fish can live on it as it would probably be a death sentence for Freshy's. Good thing Bacteria, Fungi, + Flora are able to naturally produce Vitamin B1 - Animalia can not.

Hmm strange - did not know this. Also strange as most very serious freshwater keepers I know almost exclusively feed their monsters marine proteins. Shrimp etc.
