that would look cool. my goto is tree silhouettes. you could do white on black.

funny you say that, i was debating free hand painting designs or tribal work in a white or offwhite color.

or just fully customizing the tank with some crazy art.

If I do something like this, I would do mangrove roots in the tank and continue the theme on the tank with the tree design. but thats just me. I think it would look pretty sweet.

Great looking setup!

Where abouts are you around Hamilton? I live in hamilton and cant wait to start my own build. Just need a big enough space lol

i'm in brantford actually. 20 min west of hamilton along the 403.
i have it all setup in my basement, and even then, i can't believe how large of an area it takes up. 1 ft of room between tank and wall for cleaning/maintenance purposes, 6 ft tank, 2 ft of sump. that's just the length. no way i'll fit my 90g beside it like i'd hoped.

You mentioned your planning on putting your rays in the new tank, what do you have them in now? Did you get your rays from someone local?

they are rapidly outgrowing their 90g start-out tank.

i've had them in it for roughly 10 months and have been planning a bigger tank from the get go.

i got them from the tropical fish room in brantford. they currently have juvie motoros, but they often get in retics and various motoro types. i have yet to see a hysterix.

I've been thinking about checking out that store, i will definitely go and have a look for myself.

Goodluck with the rest of your setup, keep the pics coming :)
