I really don't think the bark is taking up that much more space, my tsn gets through the gaps with plenty of room to spare. If it appears to be a problem then I will rehome the ray. I refuse to keep an animal if I can't give it adequate housing. The good news is this will be only a grow out stage as I am also planning on an 8x4 footprint to be my next tank( no center overflow) but I really don't think the ray will have issues with the bark but if it appears to be a problem I will address it, have no fears
