Makes you feel like a proud parents when your babies eat, doesn't it??
Mine get fresh veggies 3 nights a week. I get 5 or 6 big quarters of cucumber or whatever all laid out in their tank, shut off the room lights and leave their colored tank lights on and start cheering them on lol One of the most peaceful times of my day is sitting in the dark in front of that Plec tank every night before bed and watching them.

True. I just got done feeding my psuedas with the lunar lights on. So peaceful. Unfortunately I work third shift. It really makes me want to stay home and just watch my tank lol.

BPage, that's wonderful. I see that Sultan and it really makes me want one. I wonder if they're all as shy as yours though. My L075 was super shy in his 30 g quarrantine tank but as soon as I put him in the 6' Plec tank the little guy came alive and started growing like crazy. Who's your most out-going Plec?

Who is BPage? :grinno:

The L-14 is by far the most outgoing. The video I posted of it from yesterday is a daily occurence. Almost everytime I drop in NLS in that corner of the tank (for the EBJDs) it'll come out within a few minutes and start grazing.

I think one of the reasons my L-264 is so shy is that its not kept in a community of L-264s. I recently read somewhere on MFK that they do best in "schools" of other L-264s (if plecos even school?).

I came real close to getting an L14, had the order all ready and just had to click on 'buy' and I didn't do it. I was too concerned about that big of a carnivore when my others are herbivores. I worry too much about that sort of stuff, but I felt like I'd have to have him in his own carnivore tank. I got my L075 instead that day and I've never regretted it, he's pretty comical. I still stare at Goldies wanting one though lol
I wonder if there's something to that-them doing better in groups (the L264's). I read that about Blue Panaques also. Truthfully-those are the 2 I can't decide between. I want both equally.
BPage was a typo :grinno: And our lines were down yesterday off and on all day long and this is one of the posts I saved because I wanted to make sure I answered it. The Plec talk is my favorite.

I know what ya mean. I really wanted an L-200 Green Phantom, but I already had the carnivores and didn't want to run into issues down the road (both with diet and aggression). I almost got one of Snookn's blue panaques too, haha.

I did email him. They're listed as a trio for $75 (or $90?) and shipping was going to be another $65. I wouldn't have a problem with spending the money if I knew the fish were going to all live. It's always a toss of the dice whether a Plec's going to do good once you get it. I do like my L200 but the only thing that'll bring him out in the daytime is that messy mango lol
