Sorry for the rudeness, I did not intend to flame. And as for the Pacu, it was just bringing a bit of life back to the joke at the start (although it wasn't that good).

And you are much welcome here, canadiancutie514. I don't have any problem with small tanks or bettas (which I have kept and am actually quite fond of). I initially had a few small tanks and then moved on to larger and larger tanks (as room and budget allowed) and I understand that not all of us can have a 500 gallon tank.

As for your tank, I would still like to see a picture of the betta and I apologize for my rude attitude earlier. And a few crystal shrimp would do nicely in that tank (that is a serious suggestion).

That tank is to warm at 81 F for the betta need to let it cool down to about 74. A Betta will only last a week or so at 80, bettas like low 70s and are just fine down to 65. You should just see the fist bar or two of your thermometer.

Welcome to MFK, it's always nice to see that someone is properly taking care of the fish that they chose to go with. I don't care if it's a 5 gallon or a 5000 gallon tank, as long as it is properly cared for and the fish and owner are happy.
