My 500 Gallon 8' x 4' x 25"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Any pics of the perch? I wasn't able to find them.

Tank is up and sump is running. Water is very cloudy but that's to be expected with 240 pounds of new sand. Lights arrive on Monday so photos likely won't be coming until then.

Since most of my fish are atmospheric air breathers, I might drop one in tomorrow and see how it does (depending on the temperature and water parameters of course).

Good luck! Hope all goes will with that.. let us know

I'll try to answer the specific questions soon, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I added in my 20" Australian Lungfish and my 18" and 23" Tropical Gars. They seem to be enjoying themselves.

Still waiting for the tank to clear up and the lightning system to arrive tomorrow.

Also having issues deciding which way to point the two return nozzles. I don't want to overrun the front of the tank with a current that keeps the fish away, and I also don't want to be pushing sand right away and leaving craters of barebottom. Need to keep working on this until I find a spot I like.

Nice i can't wait to see the pics....The fish i am sure are loving it..

They definitely seem to be! Adding the 17" African Arowana after work today and putting on the light fixture.

Some shots of the tropical gars in the new tank.
