The under gravel filter. I have a pump in the bucket that pumps the water through the water heater then through the coils in the tank. I will hook the pump to a thermostat and keep the water heater on all of the time. I need to finish putting the gravel back in the tank. I have the bricks on top of the coils to keep them down till I get all of the gravel in.

I trimmed a few inches of the pond liner off from the edge of the seal and glued it again.

When I glued it up the first time I used 2 glues Welder and 3M 5200 Marine. Well when I was taking the liner off of the glass the Welded did not bond vary well so it caused weak places in the joint. This time I got a BIG tube of 3M 5200 Marine and glued it along the front side and back of the glass.

The entire project stalled out for a while. I have about 3 other projects going on at the same time. The big news is the list of fish that I have been acquiring. I got a Flagtail Prochilodus, 4 Wide Bar Silver Dollars, a Distichodus Sexfasciatus, and 7 Redtail hemiodus. The Distichodus Sexfasciatus and Redtail hemiodus are supposed to be shipped Wednesday. I think I am up to 10 Denison's barbs. If I remember properly I have 8 Bala Sharks. In a seperate taink I have 8 bucktooth tetra. I have a bunch of Bloodfin tetras but plan on heading to Petco and getting a bunch more. I have a bunch of other fish including Silver Dollars, Penguin Tetra, Buenos Aires tetra.
If any of the fish do not like each other I will put them in the 150 g or 220 g.

At the moment the 625 has just enough water in it for the under gravel filter to work. I just pumped about 75 gallons of water out of my 220 g tank in to the 625. Most of the fish are in the 220 g. I hooked the canister filter that I got for the 625 g up to the 220 g.

Thanks for the info on how u fixed it, very glad u got it up and running again. This should be some more affirmation on the quality of 3m5200 and pond liners with windows :) . Always feels good to swim in a tank you made aswell lol...

I put my Flagtail in the 220 g ware most of the fish are and the Buenos Aires tetra are nipping at his tail. I hope he is going to be fine he keeps hiding with the Silver Dollars. And it seems like they are protecting him. I changed a bunch of the water in the tank last night and added some more salt to bring the salt level back up after a couple of water changes and not adding any. I put in 4 cap fulls of Stress Zyme. If I could catch the Flagtail I wold put him in the quarantine basket that I made. IMG_0834.JPGIMG_0839.JPGIMG_0833.JPG

bonesb66 do you have any suggestions for another hard to get fish hat will fit in a 625 g tank?

It depends what you're into my friend.

My hard to get fish in my tank is Hoplias Aimara, completely depends what sort of thing you have.

Don't be one of these that get caught by chasing rare and exclusive fish, have what you want, what you like.
