My 75 gallon sunfish tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
By the way you tank isn't overstocked but like I said the bluegills once full grown will become agresive.

Yes, I am aware of that, that is why I have plenty of fish in the tank to spread agression.

Can we end this overstocking kick we are on? You think I am overstocked, I admit that I am overstocking for a reason. Time to move on.

As for sexing this page the third picture shows bluegill male right female left. Note this shows full grown bluegill so it might not work.

Uhm,
" In actuality, the coppernose (or copperhead, as it is sometimes called), is the male Florida strain bluegill. Note the copper colored banding which gives the male its nickname. Again, the Bluegill you have down there, are not the same as the ones we got. We don't have the Florida Strain, so no coppernose.

Don't know much about them, but those are great lookin fish.

love the scaping man, its absolutely stunning! as long as you and your fish are happy, so am i=] like was said before, to every man his own!

Beautiful tank bro! Love the setup. I think the tank is fine as is. If you guys think its overstocked go check out some of the JDM tanks for example.

personality wise they are not much different than NW Cichlids, though not as big bodied as some of the more popular cichlids. They are probably a little hardier than Cichlids as well, you really need to go out of your way to kill them.

I would love to get a bigger tank and add some perch and crappie as well, but that is a ways down the line.
