Got the silicone residue off, background is sealed in the tank... I'm going to put a black background on the sides of the tank to hide the silicone and such


Sand has started going into the tank.. using Quikrete pool filter sand.. a LITTLE gritty but im sure it will be fine. Not sure if I like the color of it though... More of a Khaki color

looks good. u gonna use a rattle can for the sides? if so, just make sure u secure top of the tank really well so u don't overspray into ur tank.

nah, not going to spray the sides - just going to cover it up with black background...

Have tank filled w. water now. getting one of the filters up and running and i'll post pics!

NOTE: I need help setting up my Eheim 2217.... Ideas of what to put the bio-media in? I cannot find a mesh bag for it? I using substrat pro.
