looks really nice but of course I would prefer real plants and some sand

It's always nice to see young fish keepers in the making! I remember starting very, very young and it was so exciting for me. I look forward to seeing his future work. 
It is pretty depressing to see someone born in 95 referring others as young people

I've got 2 in my own 29G with my macrobrachium sp. (chameleon shrimp) ... I didn't want to have them with the cherry and rili red shrimp that I with my sons guppy's

LOL ... I can tell you didn't check out the whole thread and updates ... I've been showing the improvements he's making and the new challenges/material he's utilizing ... the lastest tank does have live plants in it ... with sand.

Yep things like that remind me I'm getting old in years. (late 70s baby myself) ... already know when I've got grandkids I'm gonna hear "Grandpa you were born in the 1900's .. wow"
But thanks you guys ... and Aquaman_95 ... I plan on keeping this thread alive until I finally deem him old enough to make his own account. Until that day comes, I'll keep sharing his progress.
Updates ... hmm ... let's see. Things have been crazy busy, but with his activities he's still maintaining the two tanks. Wish I had taken some pics before, but the water sprite in the 30G grew like a weed (The LED is great). Had it floating to start, it quickly covered 3/4 of the tank surface ... so now he's starting to plant some of it as well. He wants to move a couple of plants around and he's decided the rocks I have aren't good enough. He saw some glass stones that caught his eye ... so maybe this weekend we'll pick them up. So once that's done I'll take some more pics.
As for his 29G. He's hit his first hurdle
.... he has a snail explosion. Partly due to the fact that he was over-feeding. He was curious why the other 2 tanks didn't have any snails. I showed them they do, explained the overfeeding and then started showing/explaining to him different avenues he could take. He wants to get an Assassin Snail for the tank (His first predator he said), so I've just been researching first that they won't harm my shrimp ... should be somewhat safe with 1 only (temporarily). But need to remove the Zebra nerites first. He's bugging me to help get some more plants at the store for his 29G ...
... just starting to realize we can utilize clippings from plants we already have. But I'll need to pick up some more soon anyway. Finally solving one of my problems with the 55G (basically whats in it) this weekend. Then I can utilize (argue) his help on how to slowly rescape it. So the deal is I'll play his helper this weekend, if he pitches in on what needs to be done with my tanks. If all goes well (which it usually does) he'll probably see a couple more plants for his 29G as a reward. Side note we saw a couple of the baby cherry shrimp again today ... hadn't seen them since that one time (I was beginning to wonder if they survived). They're growing fine and looking good.
I grabbed a couple of pics of his tank without him knowing before we went to get his new rock(s) today, he hasn't given me the okay yet to take pics, so he may not be done. And this is before the trimming has begun.
But I wanted to show some of the growth with the LED. Wish I had've taken some pics of when the watersprite was only floating, it covered 3/4 of the tank. Put some in my own 29G and he planted 2 clumps in the 30G ... which grew and left a bit floating ... which grew.
The other reason I'm posting this, well I've never pruned/trimmed/cut plants before. So while he finished up supper, I went crazy with the scissors (unbeknownst to him). Told him it'll grow back ... but as soon as he says its okay I'll take and post some pics of his changes, not a lot but there's some.
