Reactions: George+Sherbert
the cricket was a houdini, must of hid behind the water filter or something.... found it alive later that day, sherbert has still not had a bite to eat in about 3-4 weeks now

no, do the water change, 2.0ppm is not good for the fish, esp one already struggling, MB bath twice a day, 30 minutes for about 5 days, then stop for a week, chances are if it has not helped after that for the eye condition it will not, keep up the tank meds.

Emergency! Noticed a faster ammonia rise then first time, witch lead to previous question. Then i noticed sherbert was not as active as he had been, then i saw the slime! Anyone know what this is?

I know folks have said having ammonia in the water is a good thing to a some extent, with a fish in cycling you still want to keep the ammonia down as low as possible, the fish is always putting out ammonia, the new BB will not starve but continue to grow.

is that on a piece of wood?

its a bacterial or fungus, not a big issue for the fish, just wash it off, the ammonia is something you need to worry about, do the water change and get that down.
