My Alligator Snapping Turtle Collection

It is my own belief, that a Rubbermaid drawer is for pens and papers, not an animal. I hardly called out your method of caring for your animals, I simply voiced my own opinion. I do not like any rack system. They are diminutive, opaque hell holes. Even a corn snake deserves more than a 15 quart tub. A boa most certainly deserves more than a 30qt. If anyone chooses to house anything in those drawers to save space, their choice. I hate seeing pythons coiled in those containers, a five foot snake coiled in a ball with no room to really move disgusts me. I have yet to call you anything, I can restrain myself from acting on impulse because, one, there is no point in fighting over the internet; and two, it makes no difference anyway.

I am withdrawing any further input on this post, the OP disappointments me in his ability to take criticism and practice self control.

I agree that a lot of Reptiles are not given enough space. Kudos to you for calling people on it. However, I like using Rubbermaid crates for Herps, especially Herps that require a lot of humidity like Frogs. It's sooooo much easier to monitor the humidity with them. However, I firmly believe that people shouldn't use a Rubbermaid for an animal that's smaller than the minimum tank size for the animal.

If you two want to talk about your morals and beliefs, take it somewhere else. He posted to show his animals to everyone and contribute to the site. All of Mike's animals are extremely well taken care of and have plenty of room. If you don't think so, well, honestly i dont care. And Im pretty sure he doesnt either.
 
Sick AST's man! Always wanted a little one, but they are illegal in Cali, plus I don't own a home so I don't know what I would do with it once it got big. Could just sell it, but not as easy to do when they aren't legal.
 
You have very nice animals both alis and snakes :) My only consern would be the housing of more then one snapper per enclosure as zoos here do it all the time and the end result is that all of their snappers have incomplete tails and missing fingers :(
However you are indeed providing allot of space for them so I will leave that to your good comon sence.

Suprisingly not one of my Alligator snapping turtles have missing toes / tails anything. I keep them extremely well fed and I give them a lot of space. The only snappers I have ever had an issue with fighting wise were common snapping turtles.

The weirdest thing is when they are out of water they all the sudden want to kill each other. I dont really understand.

Yeah well, if you have a problem with what I think, I don't care much either. And it's a public forum, don't tell me to take anything anywhere else.
