To be fair, he's keeping it in a tank where the conditions are as close as possible to what it'd be found in the wild - the same cannot be said for many of the fish that land up in aquariums.
And you do not know for a fact that this fish was visiting a brackish environment. You don't even know what species it is; it could very well be a brackish fish. True, frogfish/anglerfish do come from marine environments, but from what I've read and seen for myself is that marine fish that visit brackish environments do so on the high tide, where the salinity is a lot higher than 1.010, where they return to the sea when the tide returns. This fish is happily living in a low-salinity environment and eating... if it was really out of its comfort zone it would not be doing do. Prime examples are 'freshwater' morays - they won't eat if the salinity isn't right, and anglers/frogfish aren't to different in that regard.
Finally, I've seen you continually endorse the keeping of Figure-8 puffers in brackish water. NOWHERE on this planet has this fish ever been found naturally occurring in a brackish water environment.
+1 buddy.

Sea snakes in taal lake lives in pure freshwater and also sardines haha. You guys can check it out.

And yes, my angler hasnt showed signs of stress or what. I do regular WC every week. And I just visited the LFS again today, they have 3 more. It's like a regular supply.
Pufferpunk - Yeah maybe you have experience and all that, but I also have too. Maybe more experience than any big mouths here on MFK.

Im not reacting to your opinion negatively and I understand that this is a forum.

What I dont like is its like you're telling me what to do or whats best. Im an experienced hobbyist also and I think I know what to do. Be open to other possibilities not only to what is written on the books and stuffs you read. I just base my knowledge on experience hehe. But thank you for the info you've given me! Thanks ma'am. Im just only expressing myself.
Anyway, I created this thread to show you guys my anglerfish feeding on some small fish not to ask your opinions about my fish being in brackish water or what.
Thanks anyway.

The fish is healthy and growing.
To others, if you also say its best for saltwater, then fine. Go buy your own angler, put it in saltwater and celebrate.

I can transfer this guy to my refugium anytime as long as I clear up my cheato and other algae there. Peace out and HFK.
