My Anglerfish Feeding Video

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great video. Take a look at Monk's archer page below, and see what kind you have. You may very well be able to keep allof your fish at something closer to, or possibly even, full marine. Then everybody's happy. Very cool fish!!

Whoops, his page says none do well over 1.010. Could'a sworn there was a commonly traded species that did well at higher sg. Oh well.

Be open to other possibilities not only to what is written on the books and stuffs you read.
I am also an accomplished published writer in the field too, if you're looking for books/articles to believe. ;)

I'd like to take a peek. Let's see.

In addition to writing all the puffer fish profiles for the TFH book: The Encyclopedia of Exotic Freshwater Fishes, I have these articles published in TFH, FAMA & WetWebMedia's online mag:

I dont think anglers are similar to puffers. Im not into puffers anyway, and this thread is not for your credentials or puffers. Make another thread instead and put there that you're a writer etc etc. Im not questioning your credentials pufferpunk and you being a writer in magazines or whatever doesnt make you better than the rest of us. What Im trying to say is, you're experience might be different from mine. Experience is the best guru for me. Oh well, thanks anyway.

@brackishdude - thanks man. thanks for the link, will look it up. yeah this frogfish is pretty cool to look at. Especially when it "walks" around the bottom. I think my archer is a Taxotes Jaculatrix. Will try to post photos later.

@piscine - Thanks buddy, yeah funny thread but no biggie. Hehehehehe!

@felix - me too, aside from archers and monos. :)

I didn't ask to post them, this guy did:

I'm pretty sure you kinda did. I just gave you the go-ahead. lmao

I have to go with Lendl in saying that puffers are not related to anglerfish. You can only fight a point so hard when you don't have cold hard evidence to back it up. There hasn't been much experimentation with keeping these in brackish water and this guy is doing it...Let him be.
