under a bridge in fl
he is 22"
feed live and about 6 large raw market shrimp.
i feed one night, then skip 2 nights, then feed that next night.
he is always ready to grab the shrimp.
well tonights feeding he didnt even try to eat one piece.
he always eats the shrimp.
also,i always keep minnows in there for him but he never gets full on them.
any ideas, worried something might be wrong.
:irked:

Don't worry about it. My beast ignores food quite a bit.

They do strange things, currently my black aro has decided she no longer like frozen market shrimp. She now eats the frozen blood worms and beefheart intended for the discus. Using this oppertunity though to get her onto pellets.

fed tonight
he ate some shrimp but didnt eat the same amount he usually does. :irked:
guess its good he ate some right?
he seems to be not as active or happy as usual. :irked:
also i seen the mosquito fish nipping him.
took most out.
going to keep an eye on him more.
just figured i would update

also he keeps looking out the front and going back and forth rubbing his nose on the front.
normal?kinda normal?

Good he ate a lil bit but at least he ate and i can tell you are a person who cares for his fish alot even though you think theres something wrong and your a fish keeper who will keep their fishes happy no matter what.Wish there were more people like you out there Take good care of those fishes and have a great time raising them

At 22" long a silver aro shouldn't be eating every day. Pinky is 20" long and gets fed every other day. Most of our larger fish, in fact, are on this same schedule and doing great.
