So I woke up this morning and noticed my fahaka has ich, I've had him for 2 months and always seemed healthy. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with ich in my aquarium in 10 plus years. What would be the best way to treat my baby? He has a few other tank mates and only one other fish has signs on it too, just barely tho.
I know people say no tank mates with a fahaka but I'm kind of experimenting. I assume if I get him around a bunch of fish now he might get used to the idea of them being around. I have 7 tiger barbs, pleco, picctus catfish (showing ich), yoyo loach, 4 zebra tetras, African leaf fish, and a ghost knifefish. He gets along with all of them to my surprise. Doesn' try to nip at them or anything. I have them in a 100 flat back hex tank (for now) have a 225 in the garage I'm working on for them in the future.
