My Betta died.

After having my Betta die I want to stay with 2 %90 wc's a week. I don't want anything happening to the new one.

That seems overkill, and imo may do more harm than good. If it was me, I'd get some pothos in there if you're worried about nitrates, and other plants to suck up nasties.

I assume you mean tank. It's just a 3 gallon.

I got some good bag shots of the new Betta. I went ahead and took some good pictures now because I don't know if, when, and how long he'll hide.

They labeled it as a half moon, but I believe it to be a doubletail.

Mine didnt hide and started swimming around right off. Well a a 90 percent change a week isnt irrational for a 3 gal. Mine has a 5 gal and uses every inch of it

Can anyone ID the Betta? I think it's a double tail, but I'm not sure.

I would say halfmoon, there is no full or near full split in the tail
