My 20" black knocked him self out yesterday.
I was reaching for the food on top of the tank and he must've saw me out of the corner of his eye and got spooked. He went to swim away and plowed head first into the side of the tank. He then just sank head first to the bottom of the tank. I thought he was done for, but he was still breathing. However, he can't stay upright, nor swim.
I held him for over an hour in the water flow. Keeping him centered. I then rigged up a tshirt to hold him. He stayed like this all night until I went to bed at 11pm. He was still breathing, so I left him be.
This morning, he was nose down in the bottom, but still breathing. I picked him back up put him back in his tshirt swaddling. He seems to still be kicking. Also, this morning when I picked him up, I could feel him trying to move, but he's very weak.
Sorry for the crappy cell pic. Is there anything else I can do for him? I really don't want to lose this guy.
