kribs are NOT mouthbrooders. they do not hold eggs and fry in their mouths :lipsseale the parents probably felt stressed or were inexperienced and hence ate the eggs or fry.
nice pair you have there, Pirwhana. keep us posted on their progress.
ok now I am thoughly confused.... I took a 4 hour nap and now the eggs are gone!!! The fungused or unferilized eggs are still there but the fertilized ones are gone! The parents were totally black and white earlier and circling and lip locking. Now the pit is changed to a different area. Could they have moved the eggs or maybe they became wigglers and they moved them?
My mistake... I got Kribs confused with Melanochromis Auratus. There are too many Africans to keep track of. They all look so damn similar. I have only seen young kribs... yellowish looking. But, back on track, your pair might have hidden the babies. Just put your hand in the tank and see what area they guard the most. They should try to defend the area they moved the babies to. Although your pair is young and might not be that aggressive yet. I hope you still have fish babies.
how do I do that??? I usually just fed crushed flake with the Kribs. How do I feed them they are in the 55 with the parents. Can I feed them baby food that is made by Hikari????
