My Congicus and Ornate growout

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They probably won't look as yellow when they get bigger. It'll probably more balanced. I've always wanted to keep a dark colored Ornate (looks like it has no yellow at all, just black and white). A different LFS had those dark colored Ornate but they were even smaller than my current ornates.
I believe the dark colored Ornate grows up to look like this.

Damn dude super jelly of that yellow yellow ornate!! if you ever let it go send it my way.

All of my congicus are jerks and tilapia just doesn't last, they have flat stomachs the next day after gorging themselves the previous day.

I'll probably have to step up to twice daily feedings again.

+1 on darker ornate. Kool looking.

Hao - your ornate looking good. I'm sure they'll be 12" before the year is over.

J jaws7777 these darker ornate must be a deeper water variant, :) ;-) :-) ;-)

Quick update, one of the Congicus is swimming with spines bent downwards :(

Oh no. What do u think happened ?
I have no idea. I've never experienced this with wild caught bichirs. I've had bent spine in CB endlis(too much inbreeding) from growing too fast. But I don't think this is the same case.

Aww man, could it be some trapped air towards its lower abdomen and its bending its body trying to keep its tail down ?
