My cousin passed, in a bad way

Was he completely wasted? Suicide by cop?

I got to thinking about this a little more, how much land does he live on? I mean if I lived on several acres of land, I would shoot guns often if legal. Maybe his roomey was a hippy retard afraid of guns and your cousin was just catching a little buzz while relieving some stress...not a good idea in itself but I myself or some one I know may have done such a thing.

The only problem is pointing the weapon at the police. A few times Ive been in the woods plinking away and cops called on me. When I see them approach I holster the weapon and if its a long gun, lay it down and walk away.

Any how, I hope you are your family are doing the best they can.

That is truly terrible. I'm sorry for your loss, and please accept my condolences. But I must say, I'm with JD and Semper on this matter.

@ OP: Sorry for this tragedy to strike you and your loved ones.

@ thread: That number sounds about normal for a group of officers who have likely never had to fire on a true threat before. Nothing shocking about the number at all.

as I must say I wish the public could know what our family knows that the news and reports dont tell. Thats why Im stirring away from arguing the matter. Will keep ppl posted if permitted in time.

I take it you dont shoot. I shoot MUCH more then your average cop. Im not saying Im a good shoot, I'm far from it. Under controlled range conditions hitting a small target is very hard. In a life or death situation its impossible. Aim for the biggest target, dont stop until mag is empty/threat is eliminated.

I value human life more than anything. If I had to choose to club to death every panda left in the world to save one crackhead, I would. I cant imagine how much pain the OP and his family are in. However we must look at the cops as well. I bet you every one of them would rather have not taken a young life, especially one that was temporarily altered perhaps because of drugs. You think these cops went home and slept like a baby that night?

Its a terrible tragedy for all involved and they all deserve our thoughts and prayers.

Yes I shoot and have so for years. I'm talking about controlled shooting in situations like this. You'll find I'm sure that the average cop spends less training on tactical real time training/shooting than hookin' up with buds to go to the range. Two completely different training methods. I can see for that amount of cops without tactical training 60 plus rounds fiired easily if not more. This was a lay down spray not calculated through a tactical mind-set.

They're cops so of course they're not trained to that expectation and I get it when you're talking about the crack head etc. I hear ya.

It's a tragedy all the way around.

why dont police use tasers anymore
