Hint... I alway put an Official looking tag on my traps with the usual "Do Not Tamper", "Federal Law" University of _____ etc. etc. But I've probably just been lucky, nobody ever wants to go as far back as I go :D.

;) Thanks. I'm not worried about it being lumpy because this is going to be mutilated on the first strike. It is going to be used for saltwater trolling. Everything is BIG and toothy out there. Our lures rarely survive the first hit; I have reeled in only half of my lures plenty of times and I also had a steel leader cut. It is going to be shaking like mad and smoothness will be secondary to all else.

I'll post pics in about a week. That will be our next fishing trip. Right now we are overhauling the boat. We just installed a new engine and are in the process of giving it all new wiring and electronics. The moon is full right now and we are missing the best week of fishing :(

Can't really say I find beauty in your handwork, but, anyway, it is the fish that need to like it! LOL

ya, i noticed that moon last night! I think ill go sharkin tommorrow night or monday night.
 
anybody ever have much success with a wire mesh trap like that for crawfish?? is there a better design for fish? PM me!
