Hi everyone,
I'd like to show you my 450Ltr. (180cm) tank. I was looking for a long time for a good setup for my new tank, and finally, in August, it was decied: I ordered 7 Geophagus aff. altifrons "Alenquer". And here two pics how it looked as it started:
And fish:
Quite pale colors, but it was what I expected - they were young, about 8cm SL. And, at this early stage I knew they were not G. altifrons - actually they are identified as G. sp. Tapajos II. Whatever they are, I like them.
And, here are pics how they & their home looks now:
And two of 19 little tankmates (Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis):
I became a bit bored with the setup lately, but this is maybe because I kept Apistos before, which have always spawned 2-4 weeks after being settled in the tank - and Geos haven't spawned so far. But Those fish have got truly lovely colors, and they are somwtimes very funny, sometimes interesting to observe. And it would be quite hard for me to give them away. I can wait some more months
And I'm also going to get second tank, 180Ltr. (110cm), and I'm thinking to be back into Apistoworld, or another Cichlids I like - Westafricans.

When they swim in this way they remind me marine Surgeon Fish!
