Hi everyone,
I'd like to show you my 450Ltr. (180cm) tank. I was looking for a long time for a good setup for my new tank, and finally, in August, it was decied: I ordered 7 Geophagus aff. altifrons "Alenquer". And here two pics how it looked as it started:

And fish:

Quite pale colors, but it was what I expected - they were young, about 8cm SL. And, at this early stage I knew they were not G. altifrons - actually they are identified as G. sp. Tapajos II. Whatever they are, I like them.:)
And, here are pics how they & their home looks now:

And two of 19 little tankmates (Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis):

I became a bit bored with the setup lately, but this is maybe because I kept Apistos before, which have always spawned 2-4 weeks after being settled in the tank - and Geos haven't spawned so far. But Those fish have got truly lovely colors, and they are somwtimes very funny, sometimes interesting to observe. And it would be quite hard for me to give them away. I can wait some more months:D

And I'm also going to get second tank, 180Ltr. (110cm), and I'm thinking to be back into Apistoworld, or another Cichlids I like - Westafricans.

Very nice setup and fish!

Agreed. Very nice setup and fish.

You brought the tank to life well with your pictures, very nice job. I was impressed by the Lemon tetra pics. I cannot see that much detail on my Lemons with my naked eye. Very cool stuff, thanks for sharing.

Dude that looks awesome. I'm setting up an eartheaters tank as well and hope it looks as nice as yours.
Can't wait to see your setup then. Good Luck!

Thanks again, and about details – that’s all about Pentax 100mm/2.8 macro lens – it is worth any money! And also easy technique of using tank's light to get good light for taking pics.

And most recent pics of my Alfa Male:

And the same fish in "streamlined" version:naughty: When they swim in this way they remind me marine Surgeon Fish!

And two other fish

It's so hard to tak a decent picture of them - they are very active (I have never thought eartheater can be sooo active!), and their colours changes depending on the mood or light level.

Hope you like it.

Lovely tank and fish !

Lens is awesome too ! I used to have a 50mm f1.8 lens for my Nikon, which was amazing for that sort of shot. Sadly, I don't have the lens anymore and have to put up with the standard "jack of all trades" lens .... much better than a compact but still I wish I still had that old lens !
