Gorgeous fish!! I'd love to get my hands on some of the more interesting geos, rather than just the generic captive-bred altifrons we get here...
I got mine thanks to my friend who orders fish from Germany several times a year.:) It's Poland, so whe have no availability of many nice fish species (only Tanganyika, and Apistos became more popular nowadays).

Nice setup and nice fish MBay. Will look a bit better once the wood sinks itself and you can remove those huge rocks too :)
Yup, the wood was quite dry when I got it, so it sinks since... July. I hope it'll give up some day. I'm also thinking about adding some additional pieces of wood - but not such blocks as I have now;), rather branches etc.

Lens is awesome too ! I used to have a 50mm f1.8 lens for my Nikon, which was amazing for that sort of shot. Sadly, I don't have the lens anymore and have to put up with the standard "jack of all trades" lens .... much better than a compact but still I wish I still had that old lens !
Yes that's true. I have a kit lens, too, which I've used before, but it's not even a 1% as good for fish photo as macro is.

And for those who like:

Hi JK,
yup I've been member here for some time, but not very active actually.
And yes, would be nice to invite Marcin, but I think he's a bit busy person.

Thanks for fixing the vid:headbang2

Ehm, BTW. I got to get Tetras out, as Geos started to hunt them, like a wolfs' herd. I lost 3 Lemons (2 of them were just swallowed...) I believe keeping those two types of fish can work only for a short period of time. Or else you can "use" bigger tetras, such as H. erythrostigma.

I keep a group Hyphessobrycon columbianus as tankmates for my Satanoperca mapiritensis group and would highly recommend them! They get large, stay in a tight group and have very nice colors. Blue flanks with red finnage. If your not concerned with keeping a true bioitope they sound perfect for you!
