1. You didn't read his terms.

2. You ordered knowing that it was below freezing in your city.

Is this the first time that you have had fish shipped to you?

Doesn't sound like it is their problem.

Where does it say that i'm looking for payback? I'm just passing along the word that I had a very bad experience, with a very cold response from the seller. Hardly what ANYBODY should expect from a vendor.

I am sure that ALL of you would feel the same way if it happened to you, and I am sure that all of you would just LOVE to be flamed for speaking up, yes?

stop trying to bring him down, you cant, he is too respected and awsome. read his terms next time dork.

Delgado- If this was directed towards me I think you misread my post. Also, the name calling is a bit juvenile and uncalled for.

Thanks - didn't realize I had so many in there - Cleared

how were they packed? bag, foam box, cardboard box, heat packs?

Something that would be good to know. Describe in depth.

Also I think if you're not going to guarentee someones fish if they haggle you then you shouldn't let people haggle you. Just leads to this kind of stuff. But it's your show.

wow cant believe the guy is being flamed for this..
sorry for your loss bro.

:iagree:

Can't say how much that sucks! From now on, support your LFS. The ONLY thing I will buy online is dry goods, non perishables, yes that leaves a very small area of fishes I have access to, but that's when/why I go to the show(s), and make friends with other "Fisheads" in your area.

I order from a guy who is a vendor here, but I can drive and pick up my fishes. Otherwise living where I do, I wouldn't risk the shipment.

What really kills me is the vendors response. Very unprofessional, I agree with the right to set policy and when, such policy is in tact, be it IMHO right/wrong or the other, the right of refund is at the vendors valition, it is in writing.

But, I lost all respect for this vendor with the remark made. It just didn't need to be said.

It's 8 degrees out now, and it's a freaking heatwave! I wouldn't drive to a LFS and get a fish this time of year, here!

It's more the vendor's "behavior" and how he handled his comment on here. Uncalled for - Flaming... c'mon guys. Glad some people on here DO understand.
As for packaging - Cardboard box with styro box. Bag was wrapped deeply into newspaper and all taped up, with a heat pack directly on bottom of the fish bag. (Hmm... maybe they roasted, then iced over...)
Padding around this bag/newspaper bundle was a bunch of plastic fish bags. (used ones, torn, rubber band still attached)
