would you have any pics of it when i was younger? i'd like to see what type of payara it is :)

yup, they do look different from the payara's that came here before.. thanks for sharing the pics :)

Amazing..

Making me very curious about "why" they die at larger size for so many people.. They must need very clean water, alot of open space, and alot of oxygen. I am also curious, he has different types of live foods avavilable in Taiwan, such as the 'loaches' he is feeding him if I read correctly? Perhaps these are healthier, and more suitable for large predators.. I also noticed asian folk often feed frogs and snakeheads as feeders. Maybe since we are often forced to feed our large preds feeder goldfish, which are unhealthy, disease ridden, and full of copper, that it is slowly over time depleting the overall health of our predatory fish? Just something to think about! (Notice, other Preds that can be fed a prepared diet, such as gars eating pellets, often live well until huge sizes.)

Miles,

Totally agree with you dude, as the saying goes - you are what you eat - and if these loaches from the pond have been feeding on natural diet then ofcourse they will be healthy and the payara will be getting fresh natural feeders packed with natural foods.

Very very very nice fish!
