well, do you know if the oscar is a male? the flowerhorn is almost certainly a female... would be interesting to see if the eggs are fertile!

No they can not. However Oscars are pretty laid back, your FH may also be one of the more easy going. That being said, at any point the FH could become aggressive and kill the Oscar so keep a close eye on them.

the way i see it, go ahead and leave them together unless you see a reason to seperate them. for all anyone knows, this could be the first time! use your best judgement though.

i know! everyone says it shouldn't be done but these two have amazing personalities!! but we do pay close attention to thier behavior... i believe thier so dosile because they are use to being pet.
