My First Discus

Nice pick up J!
With my captive bred LFS Discus, I treat him like any other fish... Mine eats pellets and market shrimp like crazy. I picked him up from 405 tropical eating bloodworms. W/the tankmates, it was fairly quick till he started eating other stuff (maybe a week max).

That's one lucky arse fish to be housed in that set-up bro ;) (still look at the background like if it was my first time:WHOA: Lol)

I would like to see a Ray and several
Discus setup 

not a discus expert but herd they must be keeped with there own kind and keeping him with fish like that he will never get food
very gental fish
nice discus though

Yea, it's way too early to tell if it will work or not. If I see any signs that this Discus can't compete for food or can't fit in with the combination, I will pull him out. I won't jeopardize it's life. As for gental...maybe gental looking but the way it acts in my tank states otherwise. It's openly swimming in the tank and eats aggressively during feeding. Always exploring and grazing. It's not hiding in the corner somewhere or colors faded because it's stressed. For being a single Discus in the tank it's pretty sociable with the other fish. It does not shy away in fear or intimidation from others.

I always hear that Discus are pretty hard to raise, but I guess with all the captive breeding going on with them, they must be easier to keep now a days. Good luck with it! Looks good!
