My first ghetto pond.

Before i started i wrote down the cost of what i thought everything would be, it came to close to $800
The total cost thus far is around $750 and im pretty happy with that comparing it to what a tank with those dimensions and a new filter would cost.

The room was already very humid before this thing went in. So i made sure to put a cover on it, its just a clear plastic sheet (used for tablecloths i think) and it covers about 80% of it. Im going to get some lids for my other tanks and that should cut down the humidity aswell.

Great stuff you did there,i also built a 6'x5x'2' indoor pond for my friends who also had a RTC,they used a standard filter system for it,and this was 14yrs ago, they had to get rid of the RTC cause it got to big for the pond, after that they tore down the pond and made the room into a bathroom. So this brings back memories.

couple hints, i used to have a plastic sheet top on my 300 gallon stock tank, but i was tired of every time i lifted the top all my fish got skittish, so instead i run a big dehumidifier and have it backed right up to the side, it puts out a quite a bit of heat and aids in the heating side of things
