My fun for the night!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was saying that you should have the tank draining into the pump, into the filters, into the tank again.

Thats the route im going to take, hopefully it doesnt effect the flow coming out of the spray bar, its perfect for what i want

You should try to increase the intake to 1" and the exhaust to 3/4 or even 1/2" that will help with the flow issue

This is wrong. You have a 3/4 canister so the largest you need to ever use is 3/4. Anything larger wont give you anything. Don't go smaller than 3/4 also. Your minimum diameter is 3/4.

This is correct my pictures were not clear. I had them on my laptop for another question and figured I would use them to answer yours. From the tank to the pump to the canister then back to the tank. If your using two canisters in series then its from the tank to the pump to canister 1 then to canister 2 then back to the tank.

Your flow should change because you have it hooked up wrong now. It is what it is :) At least you will be filtering water. Your water is going to be absolutely crystal clear!

Well im not tearing into it tonight, ill move the pump tomorrow and see if that solves my canister problem...i do appreciate the info guys, thanks alot

Wow those alien canisters look like out of this world. Where do you get the vinyl tint from ? Is that something you can buy local and cut to fit ?

I happen to work at autozone and we were slow one day so I was wandering aimlessly through the store...I walked down the aisle with our tint stuff and started reading...i read on one box that it was a no mess removal or something and i thought about last time i removed tint, it was a sticky glue mess...so i opened the box and much to my surprise it was vinyl tint...came in a 2'x6' roll...12 bucks, couldnt beat it to try...works like a champ...I had some on my glass tops to dim the light but i bought a new light and peeled the vinyl right off....no mess at all...love this stuff

On a different note...I switched my pump from the outlet to the inlet and :duh: realized im an idiot lol...I now have pressure on both of my guages, spray bar is still spraying the same, and it seems like it flows alot better...gonna check it later to make sure but the second canister is stayin filled, which obvioulsy would be the case.... thanks to egon for the photos and ocean clear knowledge lol, helped a ton...now on to getting my LED moonlights working again...peace
