My Gars

The first pic is a gar I have had for about 2-3 months and eating Hikari sinking pellets, he eats the food sticks also but mainly the sinking pellets. Can you guys verify that it is a Shortnose? Or is it something else? He is about 8-9 inches long at about as thick as a big marker.

The other three pics are of gars I just got today that were labeled Long nose gars. Can you verify they are Long Nose Gars?

Just to clarify I have one spotted and 4 Longnose. Got 3 possibly 4 of them to eat frozen blood worms and two to eat Hikari Food Sticks. Can't wait to bulk them up.

what size tank do u have them in right now?

hi, im fairly sure its a spotted gar. You can tell by the size from tip of snout to eye vs. the size from the end of the gill cover to eye. If its over 2/3rds of the snout length long, youve got a silver.
I do realize that what i just wrote made very little sense, im going with spotted vs florida. If you post a pic with a clear eye and gill region, then we can tell for sure.
