keep an eye on the gar...generally gars and rays are not a good combination as gars are known to randomly swipe at tankmates, especially during feeding or when they are hungry. most fishes can recover from potential damage relatively well, but rays, especially younger rays may not rebound as quickly. this has been documented by several people who have tried the combination...some ended up with a ray with only one eye.--

Really?? Man, I hope I have a mellow gar! He seems pretty calm and when eating he is pretty peaceful. I will keep a close eye. Thank you!!
