My humble cichlid tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Have any extra tanks on hand with seeded filters ready for when these fish start to mature?

X2 with that mix. Things often work in the short term when the fish are still young. Not just aggression, but ph and hardness.

I do have another 6 x 2 x 2.5 it with aro... and intending to get another 4 or 5 ft fibre glass tank with window

So far breeding has occurred about once every 2 months.... I will take it as a good sign so far.... most of the fishes have been with me for at least 6 months to 1yr+

That's not a very long time. I'd be worried about the fins of the heckelii. And when one day that FH might snap and go psycho. Hope it works though.

Finnage actually improved then when i first got the heckelii, it was initially 1 of my worry too

As for the flowerhorn, i agree they may go berserk but i had to separate them from a dominant male as they were pretty beat up. They used to be all black, at least they have some color on them now

thanks for your concern though
