It's crazy seeing what the tank looks like now compared to what it was on day one. I trimmed last night... getting closer to the end product. I'm also trying to get the rock work to stand out a little more.
And here are a few more shot's from tonight, the first is my favorite, I call it "hide and go seek." Also, I finally managed to get a somewhat clear shot of the Ember Tetras.
Two of the Rams paired up and just had their first spawn . They laid about 50 clear little eggs on the rock on the right, farthest back (It's the rock farther back in the picture above). Anyways, they are spending most of their time hovering over the eggs and will nip at anything that comes near. Is there anything I need to do if I want to raise these fry? I'm guessing the Rams are just gonna eat all the fry if I don't remove them . I can't get a clear picture, the eggs are tiny and clear and far back in the tank.
Last question, can I still do a 40% water change tonight? Or will this stress the fish and make them abandon the eggs. I do water changes every three days and I'm worried that if I don't do it, it will throw off the balance in the tank and I may have an algae bloom.
I have wigglers! I guess the eggs were there a few days before I noticed them. The male decided to move each and every one to a different rock. The gray patch on the right of the rock is all the half millimeter sized wigglers. I don't have food or anything for them, but I think I'm going to set up a small tank with a sponge filter this weekend for next time around .
