The way I read the Florida regulations, you can buy a bass from a licensed vendor and keep it in your tank; I don't see any information on taking home a fish you catch yourself. But my opinion means nothing, only FWC's counts.
Be sure to browse through some of the threads here on keeping bass before you decide to get one. They need more space than you might think, require a lot of food, and are difficult to find good tankmates for. Also remember that it is illegal and unethical to release a fish after you've kept it in a tank, so be prepared to keep it for life or kill it if it grows too large.
