So far my Pinima are growing out and fattening up nicely. When I first got them I got so worried thinking their fins were all nipped up. But I realized after a minute Pinima just have some intense little mohawks. Naturally, I named my guys Sonic and Punk. Glad to see they’re maintaining that Temensis-like growth right now too so they’ll be some monsters soon! Now I just need to find some Fogo ?

Also, can anyone tell me why all the pinima from this shipment have such interesting dorsal fins? From what I’ve seen online some pinima, Jariina, Thyrorus, and vazzoleri also have have this trait. Though some pics could have been misidentified. I know the fins aren’t damaged because all the dorsal fins on the 12-15 bass in this shipment looked identical. They were not from one clutch of eggs, however, as they were wc with a wide variety of sizes from 4-5” to 9” so I assume it has to do with the locale.

I don’t think it’s fin damage because all 15 fish In the shipment had very similar fins. The breaks were all on the same fin rays and such. Unless someone snipped all their fins with scissors very accurately I don’t believe that’s the case

Not gonna get into a kiddy debate with this guy anymore lol, clearly farmy Pinima same ones josh tanks,Eric Ang, monster Malone’s brought in from indonesia. If he wants to say everything he gets is wild caught for brownie points or whatever his goal is then by all means have at it. Your new tanks looks good btw TheWolfman . If you can show me that they aren’t wild caught then by all means show me. I simply used the fact their wc status that was assured by the importer to try and understand why all their fins are funky but in the exact same way on each fish. Yeah, I prefer to get wild fish for their behavior and color but I don’t get your attitude at all. If it’s too irritating for you by all means feel free to skip over the reply.
