My new baby electric eel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ooooo I'm excited for you lol I don't have a set up to house one for life anyway and I would hate to grow something get attached then have to give it away/sell it. Speaking of how much did that cost if you don't mind me asking

I work at the store that got him so he only ended up being $40 normally our prices are pretty good so we'd probably sell it for $50 or $60 at regular price.

Maybe "hand" feed him with sufficiently long bamboo or plastic feeding tongs? Less intimate than actual hand feeding perhaps, but also less painful.

That is one cool fish.

NICE!!!! fair warning on the feeding though, i helped care for a 4.5' one at the public aquarium i worked for and getting zapped by her during feeding was not fun. arm was tingling/numb up through my collarbone for about 6 hours all because the tongs were wet. will be interesting to see what sort of growth rate you get from this one. not many little ones are well documented
