Tonight we got some BBQ, Phoenix REALLY loved it...
He then had an excess of energy to burn, I guess, cause he went to town attacking his toys

Nice! Just be careful - parrots lives can be shortened immensely if they eat too much fat.
Nice Sun Conure. The wife and I spent a few years breeding and raising Macaws, Conures, and Cockatiels. Smart animals. At the time we also had an African Grey for a pet (Adam) who could imitate peoples voices, police sirens, doorbells, dogs barking, microwave beeping noises, etc. He bonded with my wife which was evident by him regurgitating on her. The regurg is the parrot trying to feed her. I would refrain from feeding Phoenix barbecue. Too much fat & sugar. The reason he went nuts with his toys was from the sugar rush from the barbecue sauce.
Absolutely stunning bird. Ive always wanted a umbrella cockatoo, they seem nuts!
