I’m in the livingroom with my daughters green cheek and he got all excited hearing all the chirps/squawking. Haha.

So the last four days Phoenix had skipped the lunch time feeding, eating adult food instead. One baby bird step towards coming home.
Funny my wife says I can get whatever I want... as long as it has legs, but no more than 4 legs.
To the OP, nice looking bird you're getting there. My old neighbor had one that would sit on his dog's back as he walked the dog around the block.

I was considering getting a Argentine Black and White Tegu, but ultimately decided on a bird due to the lizard sleeps 4-6 months out of the year.
I believe all Tegu species. They may come up every now and then to bask. Its called brumation not a full hibernation like bears what have you.
