What do you mean by "lightly salted"? Most puffers aren't comm fish.(the_squared_man)^2;2196117; said:haha you've really one for this puffer... would it live in a lightly salted 20g comm tank?
Do you mean a DP or a GSP?(the_squared_man)^2;2196121; said:a spotted dwarf puffer?
killerfish;2196250; said:In a lightly salted tank ? if thats what your asking no Dwarf puffers are totally freshwater
(the_squared_man)^2;2196260; said:i heard they needed brackish.... and all i meant was a FW with aquarium salt
just give it a plant
killerfish;2196283; said:In a 3.5 gallon i would go with one they need alot of decorations to feal comfertible they like live plants you might be able to get away with a group of 2-3 the problem is there Bio load Puffers make alot of waste and need very clean water there very sensative to nitrates nitrites and ammonia but with alot of live plants to help with water quality you might be able to get away with 2 or 3 but usually its recomended that you give them 5 gallons for each puffer so some will say not even one will be okay in a 3 gallon
If you do get a group make sure that they are sexed DON'T get two males they will fight to the death get 1 male and the rest females
Killerfish knows what he's talking about. DPs are complete brackish and need 5 Gallons per puffer IMO.
