Hey roger hope this might help you, the day I got mine he is 4.5" been eating hikari blood-worms, saltwater mullet feeders around 1", cut smash up lived fresh shrimp. He's housed with orino, temensis around 7 inches, plus datnoids reaching 12 inches as well. ......Just my opinion try to put a predator in their like datnoid, bass, blood parrot fish, etc to compete for food.

I took your advice and i moved my lei to its own 125 gallon and its doing very well, not shy anymore. Also despite being with larger aros before, mine ate hikari carnivore sticks aswell on the first day, hes very fat and is pushing 6 inches

I like your thought. Maybe it is time to move him to the 240. It has 5 Dats, 2 Bichir's in it. The wife wants it out of her swordtail tank anyway. It's 3 AM................what else do I have to do?

I will measure him today when I move him, but I will guess 4.5-5". I sat and watched for a long time after feeding him last night and saw new behavior that makes me feel better. He only ate 3-4 worms as I was putting them in. After 3-4 minutes he started cruising the lower 6" of the tank. He was stopping and picking up single worms and eating them at his leisure. He also picked up a flake and ate it. I am used to seeing him pick them up and spit them out. By the time I went to put the worms back in the fridge I was seeing belly bulge. What did Mr Johnson learn from this? I need to sit and watch my fish more that aren't in the living room. I will learn more about what they are up to.

Cool to hear their is progress with your Lei Rodger.

But anybody here use small crickets with the legs pulled off for aros? Especially, ones that only eat floating food and totally ignored ones that sink. Just curious if this is a good remedy

Alright guys, I thought he was getting better but there I go thinking again. He won't even look at food now. I have noticed a bulge from his anus going up into his body about 1/4" so I am hoping constipation. I added 1 T spoon epsom salts per 5 gallons water per research. Any other suggestions? 25% water changes every other day, temp 84 so you don't have to ask LOL.

Hope yours is doing good rodger!!!
Try to add more water current my lei is loving the current. He's around 6.5 inch now eating fresh dead saltwater fish and shrimp. I usually put like salt in my tank time to time, my fish are ok with it... How big is yours now?
