A Lfs near me has them, your in the states so you might want to check online, infact many vendors on here I have seen them bring Nile perch in.

In the sense of water quality and what not, they are easy to care for, like a datnoid is. In the sense of how big they get then no they are not easy to care for and can cost a lot of money b/c you need to have a large tank for them....having a large tank can bring large electric bills etc.... Plus since the fish gets so large the feeding cost can be high. You would be wasting your money if you feed this fish commercially made foods....best to go to a seafood market etc.... for the food.Yumu;4180886; said:I've been thinking of getting one...
