My new rtc

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm in Canada and your in the us. Shipping to canada is almost always killer. Unfortunately the free shipping deal is for us only.

I see. Never would have thought. So, what's the best regular (not sale) price for this kit you can find in Canada? I imagine it must be competitively and comparably priced.

If the cost of a water test kit is breaking the bank, an RTC is probably not the best choice of fish to try to keep.

How about a nice Horabagrus brachysoma or a Pimelodus blochii?

IDK know your circumstances and don't take me too seriously, but at the face value of this scenario, I must agree with Aldiaz. RTC = very serious, expensive commitment for advanced keepers with the right techniques, knowledge, and accomodations. Even if you have some one lined up to take him off your hands when it reaches 2' in the first year. Just my 2 cents. Feel free to ignore! :)

A nice school of at least 6-7 of either fish named is awesome IMHO.

Test kits are about $40 here. I agree with what your saying, though imo it doesn't have to be very expensive. But I do appreciate your concern, and I most likely won't get another rtc until I have my pond/tank setup.

Thanks for understanding that we are not critisizing or preaching. Didn't mean to push you in either direction at all. Just thought I'd offer some (cheap) food for thought :)

What about Amazon? What is their shipping like? I know they have API kits for pretty cheap, and shipping is almost always free... At least to the states.

On amazon.ca it is $40 + shipping. On amazon.com its something like $20 + shipping. I'll have to make an account to find out the shipping cost though

Products over 25$ do not cost any shipping.
You can also search ebay if you haven't done it before.

answer a few questions for me
1-are you willing to build 1700gallon plus indoor pond/can you?
2-are you willing/can you afford the food/water/hydro?

if you answer no to any of the above Rtc is not for you.

im not hating on you its just a really big commitment. other wise you turn out like the other people on here.(Free rtc hes to big for my tank)

im sorry for your loss Rtcs are very unforgiving with ammonia.
