My new snow leopard ray and pictures of development

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The ray we know as scobina is an sp ray just like the sp white star/snow leopard.

If there where no flashnames for these species it would be impossible to know what each other was talking about as there are quite a few sp rays in the xingu.

And flash names are not a bad thing. They help to discribe the quality within a given species. BD, Big spot BD, TI BD and so on.

Cos a BD is just a good looking leo from a serten region?

so this ray you have go has gone from a xingu sp to a snow lepord who gave it that name

as far as i know most animals are given part of the name of the person who found the new type i would like to meet this Mr snow lepord :)

black diamond get the name from the jet black base color and super white spots so that name relates to the ray

i have a bengal snow lepord cat and trust me it looks nothing like your ray

Right Richard (T1)with respect let me just say this, its easy for you to dismiss such names to describe the quality of a given species due to the fact you own some very "ordinary" P14s. Wild P14s generally look like yours and thats the very reason why i have "never" bothered to keep any, without the BD influence from captive breeding in Asia this species would get very little attention. Like all species of ray there are variations, sure there are some nice P14s with bigger spots than yours somewhere in the Itaituba and when the exporters catch and ship them they need to get over to the people wanting them that they have some special looking rays..much nicer than the norm and ofcourse they want a few dollars more for them so they call them P14 Galaxy....nothing wrong with that, its called marketing.
I call my Marbles AAA grade because i think that is exactly what they are,i've gone to a lot of trouble and expense to select only the best so for that i expect a few quid extra for what is essentially a better product...Ray call it what you like!..same with everything in life.

my p14s maybe ordinary but they come from wild caught parents not with loads of smelt breeding

what give you the right to label the rays you sell at double the price anyone else does might i add just because you want to add a extra A on the name

your forgetting when you think people have money you take the piss with your double glazing salesman tacticts remember the pair of marbles you asked me to tell Alan you were selling for what was it £4k in US money thats $5k just because you knew he had money to spend

by the way if my rays are ordinary i only have you to blame for that as my females come from the male i got from you dont you remember that when you sold it to me as a small spot henlei even after i told you it was p14 you said no it not
and the male came from nico and is far from ordinary

its the wild look i like if pure blood is ordinary thats what i like you will also find its the females that look more ordinary as you put it than males with males generally having more spots but you wouldnt know this because like you said you have never kept them when i got my 1st p14 from you over 8 years ago

if its the mixed up mess you like come and see me i have some bdleo x p14 pups due in a few weeks that im letting go super cheap as i dont like the hybrid junk (super cheap by your prices £400)

no need to market a product as you put it if the rays are good enought to sell themselfs for a new ray keeper he thinks he is getting something top notch if its called AAAAAAA SUPER GRADE if the product is good no need for that tag

people can see with the eyes what they are buying if i get some more than avarage p14 they will be sold as p14 not p14 galaxy

Its not that simple. ;) You CAN get a species named after you. But it has to be described first. It wouldent be an sp ray if it had been described now would it? ;)

White star/snow leopard just describes how they look. Makes it easier to know wich ray you are looking for/talking about.

Yes prob. Im just pointing out that the name refers to leos coming from the sao felix area.

T1 don't be silly! since when did i take advantage of Alan...no one takes advantage of Alan...you know that!!
As for asking big money for my "AAA"marble pair i never wanted to sell them, yes Alan did want to buy them many years ago but i never sold them to him, back then he wanted them bad,he tried many times to prize them from my grasp,i simply told him £3500 wouldn't buy them ......in other words they weren't for sale......and guess what i still have them now and they are close to 15 years old....do you think only Alan as wanted to buy them during that time...wise up! You have a vivid imagination,i never discussed any deal between me and Alan to you in person...why would i
Its time you changed the record on the P14s been called a small spot Henlei....back then that is exactly what they were described as in Ross's book, the bible in those days, back then there was no mention of P14 so it was correct at the time.
For the record i ask £50-£75 more than an average captive bred Marble Motoro would go for in the UK,..average/nice ones go for £150ea.......do the maths if you can..lol !!
Matter closed as far as i'm concerned,i don't want to get banned because of the likes of you!!
