thanks all, it is very calm. it has been more active then my gatf were. kelly it wont get as bright of red or as much as the gatf, but it will get some. it has yellow on most of its fins. you'll have to see it when you come down to pick up your tank.
Very nice! I miss mine, he was way more active than the GATF for sure. He had really nice yellow fins, too. I want another but I'm scared it'll fill the belly of my GATF like the first. :/

my gatf was aggressive toward this vatf and it was smaller. impressive attitude on those fish!
here is another shot from today and of its new tankmates....we'll see how it goes. it is not the conventional tankmates, but i like it. haters don't even speak.
I don't know much about their growth but I do know what locations these fish come from. Is it locality of these fish, or is it age that the tigerish' fins will become more and more red? Google images have many pictures of adult VATF that have just yellow or just red fins? Is that just a trait of Forskalii vs. Vittatus?
