That is a really cool oscar.. I`ve never seen one without Orange on it.. Did it eat the whole snake? I too think it was too big for it.

Awesome Tank!

And largemouth bass eat snakes all the time too~!
haha you're right, my brother in law caught one and took it home to put into his aquarium. ended up spitting up half a snake after being in the tank for a couple minutes..

ah aside from all the talk about you should or shouldn't do that, "in the wild" doesn't matter, blah blah blah

that looks damn cool. gotta love the o's.

Did they Oscar actually consume that thing or did it spit it back out? Looks like alittle too big.

That's the first thing that I thought. Looks way too big to eat.

Oscars are pigs and are like living dumpsters. Just because it will eat it doesnt mean you should feed it.

Hamburger is loaded with fat and mammilian fat is VERY hard for fish to digest.
That snake could have pesticides etc.

Just because it seems cool does'nt mean its the right (or smart) thing to do.

Actually, some areas in the US have introduced Bass and bullfrogs as predators to keep the garter population down. Garter snakes produce a mild neneurotoxic venom but their teeth a too small to deliver it. Their main defense is an awful smelling musk secrected to ward off predators.

I doubt the Oscar could eat that snake. Nice try but I pretty sure it was a failed attempt. Cool pic though.
